Moving Away
The swallow moved away this morning
She just swung around and left her nest
Not so much a bye or a turned glance
Now her empty nest only sits above
The swallow moved away this morning
But I thought I heard her soft, warm chirp
In a rush I peeked above the beam
But only her phantom greeted me
The swallow moved away this morning
And I lost a part of my heart
Though I reckon she won't be back
I can't seem to reach her nest to move
I hope perhaps a dove will come to stay
