The jackal lion

There is a jackal and a lion
The jackal lurks,
hiding and tarrying
from doing the work given
so as to hide his face
from the light
Yet the Lion Roars
and the jackal stops
and fades to dust
With the Roar,
the quiet whisper.
A coward rises
to stand again,
an undeserving lion
